Two-Cute Penguins

1. Join 4" foam ball to 6" ball by applying glue to half of wooden dowel. Insert dowel into 4" ball, letting unglued portion protrude. Apply glue to remainder of dowel and then insert it into 6" foam ball. Squeeze additional glue between balls to strengthen bond, forming penguin head and body. Allow to dry.

Victorian Snowman

1. Wax knife blade with an old candle for easier cutting. Cut small slice from top and bottom of 5" and 6" balls. Cut small slice from bottom of 4" ball. Assemble snowman, gluing generously. Brush off crumbs and smooth surface of snowman using back of soupspoon. Brush on coat of gesso; let dry and sand lightly. Repeat with second coat.

Welcome Santa Door Greeter

1. Wax serrated knife blade for easier, smoother cuts. Cut Santa face from foam sheet; cut foam balls in half. Glue 1" half ball on face for nose and the two, 2" halves for cheeks.

Wrap 'em Up Snowman

1. Wax serrated knife with a candle stub or paraffin. Cut a small slice from top and bottom of 4" and 5" foam balls to flatten slightly. Cut a small slice from bottom only of 3" ball. Hot glue foam balls together in graduated sizes to form snowman (see photo).
