Interest Rote CapsLimits in the amount of increases in the interest rate itself. Caps come in two varieties: they can limit the amount of increase in rate of interest charged from one adjustment period to the next; or they can limit the amount of increase over the life of the loan. |

Interim LoanA short-term loan usually for real estate improvements during the period of construction. |

Intrinsic ValueThe value of a thing by itself without certain aspects that will add value to some and not to others, as with a vintage Rolls Royce, which might have value to a car collector but to few others |

InvestmentThe laying out of money in the purchase of some form of property intending to earn a profit. |

Involuntary LienA lien that attaches to property without consent of the owner, such as tax liens, as opposed to voluntary liens (such as a mortgage). |
